What made you want to join Coastway?
It’s something I’ve been interested in since the late 1980’s.
How did you get into presenting?
A friend made inquiries on my behalf regarding radio presenting at Coastway. I then went up & met with Kenton Hadley, the then Chairman of Coastway Hospital Radio back in 2005. I started presenting in 2006.
What do you like best about Coastway?
The freedom and trust to do my own thing, to produce my own radio show.
Who/what are your biggest influences?
Listening to Steve Wright in the afternoon, back in the early 90’s on BBC Radio 1FM. I loved the radio jingles and music beds for the show, not just the songs!
I felt it was always a fun and up-beat show. The 1st thing I’d do when I would get in from school was to tune in.
My favourite character in the show was the legendary Sid The Manager.
What have been your biggest achievements?
When I started I could not read & write very well, but since I joined Coastway my reading has improved considerably.
I can now do both very well, I have Coastway to thank outrightly.
Name a key tune you love or inspired you?
I’m blessed with growing up in the 1980’s, I could say there are too many to choose from!
What do you do when you are not broadcasting?
Usually listening music or radio jingles. If not that, then preparing for my radio show. Sometimes researching information on the internet.
