At Home This Morning is a magazine programme for both our older listeners and those not so old, which is broadcast on Sunday’s at 8.00am, Thursday and Sunday mornings at 10am.
Each edition of the show contains interviews, features, music and memories from both in and around the City of Brighton and Hove and further afield. In the last few months we’ve covered topics such as the Sussex Wildlife Trust, the restoration of the Brighton Belle Train, the history of the Jill Windmill, Brighton Theatre Group’s musical shows for both Adults and Youth, Action on Elder Abuse, the restoration of Saltdean Lido and The Brighton Housing Trust, all with aim of providing our listeners, be they older or not so old, with information on what is happening in OUR area, with particular emphasis on those matters that are not covered in depth (or sometimes not at all) by other media outlets.
The At Home This Morning programmes are presented alternatively by experienced broadcasters Richard Davis and Chris English, who in addition to scouring the area for items of interest are always on the lookout for those who have no previous broadcasting experience, but who are keen to learn new skills such as interviewing for the radio and the technical operation of the equipment. Full training for which is available free of charge.
